Dean and I had several classes together as we were seated alphabetically. He would reach behind him and try to tip my desk over. I would reach out and smack him on the shoulder to get him to stop. Our English class teacher Mr. Ebert caught him once but that did not stop Dean. Next class he tried again!
Dean will be missed by all and we will have good memories. Dean was fun to have around.

We are so sorry to hear about Dean's passing. He will be deeply missed by many. Dean's immense love for his family and passion for racing were unparalleled, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him. His legacy of devotion to these two great loves will always be remembered. I only had the good fortune to meet Dean a few times. But each time it was while he was quietly supporting his family - helping his son repair a race car in the garage or at a grandchild's soccer game obviously invested in the outcome! I hope Dean can find peace in the legacy he left. It takes a great man to raise a great family.

Spent many days a week with him when he stop in for lunch! Our staff at AJ's corner store will never forget him that's for sure! Will definitely miss his "hey kid what's new?" My heart is with you all right now! We did radiation at the same time and honestly he helped me not be so stressed about it! Rest easy now Dean♥️

Dean was one of the most creative racers I ever knew. I have attached a few photos I took over the years of his supermodifieds; every year he managed to come out with something new, interesting, and usually pretty fast. May he rest in peace well remembered.

Q: How did you meet Dean?
A: Our landlord at the time had decided to put our house up for sale after 10 years of living there. Dean had a property for rent that we had gone to look at and after explaining to him what was happening he wanted to look at the house we were living at with the potential of buying it so we didn't have to move our family of 6. The foundation of the house was deteriorating and it would've been a headache to try and fix, but he was determined to help us one way or another. He told us to give him some time and he would be on the hunt for a house that he would buy to accommodate us. Sure enough, about a month later he had purchased a house and had his guys redoing the inside for us. From that point on he told us he considered us family. We are forever grateful for him and we will miss him dearly.

Q: How did you meet Dean?
A: I met Dean when I was 22 years old rented from him was a awesome landlord we we werent just landlord and tenant we became friends and where ever he saw me he would stop and chat and i finally moved back to his rental a year ago now hes gone he knew he was always welcome at my house anytime I loved Dean very much my heart is sad fly high u beautiful angel sure gonna miss him Prayers to his famly and all who had the pleasure of knowing Dean
