James L. Lyle Dundee- James L. Lyle passed away on Wednesday February 2, 2022, at the age of 86 due to natural causes. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Cassie Lyle, siblings: Richard (Helen) Lyle, Jean Lyle, Winfred (George) Seybolt, Mary (Leland) Schroeder, Althea (Paul) Dencenburg, Roland Lyle, Wanda Penna and brother-in-law Leon DeCamp. He is survived by daughter Leslie Lyle, son Lonnie (Alana) Lyle, his five grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as his brother Jackson (Gail) Lyle, sister Naomi DeCamp, brother-in-law James Penna, sister-in-law Suekay Lyle, multiple nieces and nephews and many dear friends. James retired from Steuben County Highway Dept where he served as a heavy equipment operator. He truly enjoyed his work helping change the landscape all over Steuben County. He will be remembered as someone always willing to help anyone in need without question. He loved the outdoors, farming, gardening, and hunting with family. He was a steward of nature always taking care of the land that has been in the family for generations. At James request no formal service will take place. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, James asks that you make a donation to a charity of your choice in his remembrance.
